The first time I ever saw a Kendo class, it looked pretty overwhelming. Between Suburi, putting on bogu, practicing against one another -- I saw Kendoka practicing Tsuki continually, and I thought to myself "whoa! will I do that?"

Nothing in this life that is good will be easy. I'd just jump in the pool so to speak. Buy a shinai, and do a few classes. Don't quit before you even got to try it. Unless you have other things to do during your busy schedule
