Well you could easily leave there several 100 AUD lighter!
If you buy hakama, buy a higher grade cotton like #10,000. The cotton on their entry level hakama isn't great.
In shinai I highly recommend their koto shinai, "kenshin", "tatsujin" and "ikken", all madake. There is also a 'carbonised" koto shinai which is a bit more expensive but is supposed to resist drying out. They also have something I've never seen anywhere else, which is koto shinai made from keichiku bamboo. These are much cheaper than the madake ones but still have good balance. They are also good for competition because they are only about 515-520g.
