According to your other thread you started practice at NYC Kendo which is on the upper east side of manhattan. If you were carrying your shinai it is likely a good bet that you were coming from or going to kendo class. Getting beat up in that neighborhood is something I would not expect, probably one of the safest neighborhoods in the city.

So you punched this guy a couple of times with the same hand which went unanswered. Then hit him several times on the head with your shinai. Finally he grabbed you and you bit him on the shoulder.
