Jeez, stop the self pity bu11sh1t routine, and say to your folks, "I want earn some cash what do you recommend?". They will either say "get a job/paper round/etc" or say, "we'll give you X dollars if you do these additional chores".

You are being very unfair to your son and not paying him the respect his rank deserves. I think that you should remunerate him for any time he generously spends helping out about the house. After all, it is only fair.
