Default Beginning... How was your first exam.
Well first of all, hello, as you can see i am the latest newie... i m not pretty sure where i should post this but i was planing to talk about my first exam of Kyu and also asking you about your expirience on them.

I have been practicing for nine months, but the latest moths we, the entire dojo felt the stress of preparing ourselves and to make a good impresion it was the first time too everyone, and our sensei were very moved to make us live that experience but the cool part of it was with who we where going to take the exam.

We are in Santo Domingo and we have to go to La Romana two hours in the bus to reach our goal, even that we are the capital of my contry the federation rest there, no one sleep well the night after jajaja that always happen when we do presentations in the morning, or when we have tornaments with our rival dojo. When we enter at the dojo, we enconteur a Puerto Rican kendoka the only one from ther, at the time we change and making jokes to relax, we finally see the man.

In my ignorance i did not reconize him but my sempais did and i reach the magnitude of that figure preparing to train us when they told me her name Kataoka Sensei from the New York City Dojo accompanied by her right hand and the best Dominican Kendoka of all... so far, Jose E. Peña sensei 6th Dan, later i will talk about her actions in the world of kendo.

That day, one day before the exam, we tooked a seminary of course
dice by Kataoka sensei, few moth before we actually think that we were going to practice the all day until the sensei get tired for that reason we train hard for this day developing the estamina but actually it was a very easy, relax, even fun, but long seminary. After two hours we take a break and after that i did not remember maybe 4 or 5 hours practicing without stop, we had luck in the federation president´s dojo they have AC in ours we do not, in fact it is very very hot in there, they can not imagine how it is to practice in that hell, that was our best advantage talking about resistance. Wow we were really wrong on some tecnics but after the keiko, that was for the senseis like playing with dolls (Damn they are really really good), we finally over... for that day.

Forced way, even when we were tired and i was starting to have flu, we had to go to the party after practice, with sensei Kataoka and the others senseis...ah... well they do what you suposse to do on a party.

God! is too late at 2 o´clock they finnaly wanted to stop and we can rest, lest go to the hotel the flu is killing me!!! no one have medicine?, in the road ajajaja for be hurried we almost lost a sempai and myself.(for the file: I slept in the same room with 2 females kendokas and another 2 male kogais i was the sempai in the room but do not worried nothing happen)

When i finnaly close my eyes it was 3 o`clock my flu is killing me, God! why today, why,we finnaly wake up at 7 o`clock aaah the flu the flu, we walk to the mall to buy the breakfast but it was close damn!!! i was hopping to buy the medicene, few minutes later we dicide to eat at the little restaurant in the corner in the time thanks God the mall opened and i took the opportunity... safe for now, how long will the drug works.

There the senseis are late, yeah a Japanese been late you do not see that very often, but calm me down because is a confidence signal, after, they say it was a hard night .

Another little trainig before the exam.

The moment is here, we train a we felt nervous for this moment for months i actually know that my three senpais will pass it, they are very skilled and have at least one year in the kendo.

We show the better we have and tryed to prove the explosion of our spirits in every one of our hits, i make the mistake to tried to hit de Do(After the exam Jose Peña sensei scold me that) When we think all is over and that we will know the results jejejeje they want to make de final keiko with us, after, i do not know maybe half an hour of keiko with all the Dans in the room we finish, followed of some diplomas for all and recognitions to senseis.

The senpais and I forgot every thing about the results they were the kogais that run to see the results then after few minutes and breath taking again, i go to so the results the three senpais pass the exam, at that moment i feel a little disappointed i just get the second kyu but it has passed just one week and know i feel little better from see the Kogais 3rd kyus very very happy with their level and my senpais despising theirs, it is a long road but i am proud and happy for been a kendoka i will fight till the end.

By the way my english is a little rusty i am sorry if i maked any faults.

Hasta la proxima.

PD. Feel free to tell me where do you think i had to post this.
