But a hi-end plasma TV screen or LCD can fetch that and it isn't a PC and it doesn't have touch screen capability.
I'm assuming this is the microsoft touch 'surface'. I watched footage of Bill Gates demoing it the other day. Personally I have no problem with the guy, he seems very genuine considering he's richer than G.O.D. but he can't demo for toffee. Now if Jobs had have done it [who seems far less genuine but more charismatic] then this thing would be hailed as the next set of 'stone tablets'.
Seriously, Mr Gates demoed this as being able to select beverages off a menu and store them in a kind of favorites folder. One question - why? Aside from using this in a bar to order drinks that demo has no practical use whatsoever. If that was the point of the example then I'd rather employ an Aussie back-packer to do the same job.
