Not necessarily true. Our
club
does not have AUSKF membership.
True, but you can prove that your dojo isn't a McDojo. Others cannot even begin to do that. Very rarely do legit kendo dojo exist that are not AUSKF affiliated. That's why you have to be so darned careful. Remember, I once fell into that trap myself. It was not pleasant to find out 5 1/2 months later the Kumdo(Same thng as kendo just only with korean terms, if legit.) I learned wasn't the real thing. I had to re-learn everything. No fun!!
My teacher called himself "Master" and he could barely do kumdo himself. Nevermind the ratty way he dressed in class. However, I was so glad to finally go to a real Kendo dojo and unlearn every bad habit and technique.
I got your PM. I'll reply soon. Thank you. I read everything you sent me.
I added it to my list. (I won't add just any dojo, either! Not to be snobbish, but I do like to have only legitimate dojos in my list.)
I'll say this: If a dojo is not affiliated with the AUSKF, no rank can be earned and nobody can participate in any AUSKF sanctioned event such as tournaments or seminars/camps.
Oh. And no offense Verissimus-san. I'm just stating what is true.
And, it's nothing against your dojang at all. I don't want the above to sound like it is.
