PAL and NTSC are the output specifications for the signal driving your TV. You need a different player. Why fuss? DVD players are dirt cheap, they're well under $100 here for a basic one.

Because this one was free and I don't have a job yet! I read up a little on the differences of both, and it would appear that there is some sort of compatibility, but not all the time....wank. I guess I've got to wait for the cash to buy a PAL compatible player then.

Dam, DVD's were going to give my long days at home some extra life!
