So, when I woke up today, I did a kendo world search (which is probably what I should have started with, but I was drunk so forgive me), and it turns out my suspicions are true. Fukasa is not legitimate.

I use to take Aikido at Aikido Yoshinkai but I was not mature enough to commit to it and quit before my first grading. The university I'm currently in offers an Aikido class instructed by a man who belongs to the Fukasa school. He seems to a generally good guy, and doesn't claim to be anything other then a shodan in Aikido who has attained his teaching certificate. By going to one of his classes, and from my limited experience, I know that he knows at the very least basic Aikido. He said he also teaches iai and kempo, and I was interested in taking iaido with him.

Now I'm at a crossroads. I find him to be a good guy, and his students to be genuine people. Should I out his school for what it is to the university, or stay quiet about it?

I guess I wouldn't be so concerned with his school if the soke of it had not claimed such lineage. At the same time though, the sensei has been pretty humble about himself. What do you guys think?
