When I had that as my sig quote when I was working at my previous job, some manager actually wrote me back and chewed me out because "Christians believe not just because they want to believe in something worthwhile, but because they believe the Bible is true."[/url]

Oh, boy, the silly debates we Christians have among ourselves. I am always reminded of C.S. Lewis, who might have said, in much more eloquent terms, "Hey, lighten up. What works for me may not work for you."

Okay, this ain't philosophy so much, but the NSC translation of Go Rin No Sho reads,

"The way of the warrior is the twofold way of the sword and the brush."

As a writer and kendo guy, that really appeals to me, but beyond that I think it means clutivate two sides of yourself, the physical and the mental, the destructive and the creative, etc.
