Default re-sizing tabi
not sure if this really belonged in the bogu section but nevermind.

tim (chidokan) kindly bought me some tabi from japan
one pair is white, which i intend to wear more often as i dont want the navy to fade in the wash
(makes sense to me, dont worry)

but i have weird short toes, and they didnt stock them in half sizes, so they are half a size bigger than i measured
they are very snug around the ankle and top of foot, but too long at the front (which when they move makes them too long at the back)

i was wondering if anyone had any experience on how to resolve this
do i just stick them on a boil wash (thus risking shrinkage of the ankle bit)
or can i trim and re-sew the front bit to tailor them to my toe size?

cheers in advance
