Man, the prices are heavy. I wear the same keikogi and hakama for the last 8 years, wash them every week (no they don't fade if you know what you are doing) and spent less than US$120 on the both together.

Mine have faded a little bit but yes, if you are careful with the wash the loss will be minimal.

Still, I love the look of worn keikogis. I have two sets of kiekogi and hakama as Ireland is not the easiest place to get your clothes dry, I don't use a tumble dryer.

About cotton hakama, they look great, but I find them a huge pain compared to rayon, I only really use for gradings, competitions and special ocasions (or when the rayon stuff is in the wash)

I don't wash the hakama as often as the gi anyway
