Looks like
Kotooshu
got over the sidestep issue he's been having and coming on straight now. That was pretty much the only "qualitative" issue holding him back from making
yokozuna
. Now he's just got to win a few more
basho
and I'd think he'd be the first caucasian to make
yokozuna
. Not a big fan of
Asashoryu
though as he just doesn't seem to have the right attitude to be
yokozuna
.
Hakuho
on the other hand seems to show the right character, and I think
Kotooshu
would too. Incidentally, I think the last active Japanese
yokozuna
was
Takanohana
, but the last one to make
yokozuna
was his brother
Wakanohana
.
