Yep, everyone forgets that Christmas is really about livening things up when it's cold and dreary, and celebrating the winter solstice.
Poodlespit. You northern hemisphere chumps have it all wrong.

Christmas is about getting together at someones backyard pool, swimming around with plastic glasses of vino/bundy/champers or beer until youre all wrinkly and pithed. Then you hand around the suncream, cremate a few kilos of lamb and prawns on the BBQ, and yell at any kids leaving the back door open for the flies to get inside.

Everyone migrates inside when its too hot to walk on the paving outside, where the drinking and eating continues until people pass out on the coolest patch of lino they can find.

Boxing Day is traditionally "beach day", where you do it all again. The person who can body surf without getting saltwater in their beer gets a standing ovation... from those who can stand.

CHRISTMAS IS AWESOME
