American Football is Rugby for whimps.
I used to watch Wigan Rugby League quite regularly, back when they were the most successful team in Britain, of any sport. I saw Andy Gregory a short squat 38 year old at the time picked up by two St Helens players and literally speared head first into the gound. He got up immediately, completely unfazed. He was recently in the news, now 45, after being attacked by a Rottweiller. He had to punch the dog repeatedly to get it off him.

Rugby League players are real battlers, Shaun Edwards was the youngest player ever for Wigan in the 1990 Challenge Cup final and played on after the first few minutes with multiple fractures of his eye socket and a depressed cheek fracture.

I also used to love seeing Vaiga Tuigamala tackled by three players and still keep moving an extra ten yards with these guys trying to bring him down. They would talk about New Zealand rugby union star Jonah Lomu as being tackled by a bus or a train but Tuigamala it was like being tackled by a bicycle and getting caught up in the chain and wrapped round the gears before being spat out the back.

Dang I miss those glory days when there were some real rugby stars...
