Maaaaan...250 million?!? In his prime I could understand but now? I suppose it could be used as proof that Americans have more money than sense.

TBH I don't blame him for taking the opportunity. $250 for doing what he loves to do - all credit to him.

What do the Americans get for their money - well, I guess they're hoping that they will get someone who at long last will put Football ( the real one) up on a similar footing to Basketball, Baseball and American Rules Football ( to give it it's proper title).

I have never ever understood why he generates so much animosity from some quarters - what has he actually done that is so bad. Called for Jihad, executed thousands, abused children? No, all he does is play football very well - and by and large does it without snarling and abusing referees. Perhaps those that enjoy abusing him are envious of the fact that he has so much more than they do.

Same with Victoria. All she ever did was sing in a fairly succesful pop group and she has been maligned ever since. Her voice is decent without being fantastic...so what? have you ever listened to most pop singers - few of them are much better. And don't give me lists of who You think is better because that would be down to personal taste. And she is supposed to be a bit of a crank? Says who? The newspapers thats who. Oh well, it must be true if it is in the gossip columns of some downmarket rag.

And even if some of the stuff they have done seems a bit weird - I give you the modern-day clarion call.....So what?

Lets leave them alone FFsake. They have done nothing wrong.
