Thanks for the replies. I found out why the Jo seemed so long; It seems the supplier sells 5ft Jo whereas the stores I bought my others from sells mainly 4ft jo.
I didn't pay much for it (30 or 35 AUD I think) and It's not super important that it's Japanese White Oak but if a store says they sell Japanese White Oak Jo then they ought to be Japanese White Oak Jo, besides that I thought that it might help in determining whether I've got the right Product or not. The only Camera I have is on my DSi XL so I took the best photos I could with that and have added them to a gallery on an old website I hardly ever use because I couldn't figure out how to put them up any other way: http://kapowcartoonsillustration.web...lbumid=9145861
