The RIAA is pretty much out of it..It's a "Can't beat 'em, join 'em." sort of thing. It'll be more like this: The ISP will make deals with content providers to deliver the stuff to you directly. Movies, Porn, Games, etc... Which means, if they are selling you "The Dark Knight" or the latest installment of 'Prince of Perisa' as direct download-able content, you better believe they will be monitoring your IP (which blocks they provide) because it's at that point, not an annoyance, but rather competition. They're pretty cool about it now...they send a letter of warning, then they throttle, then they cut you off. Of course, in about 5 years, with the emergence of Utility Computing companies, you'll be cut off all together (from file sharing). At that point, it'll be as if the RIAA IS your ISP.
