I agree that we shouldnt systematically bash the new guys.

Honestly, if the newbies don't show up spouting off about their extensive experience, quoting passages from "Kung Fu" or "Kill Bill" or trying to agressively save my soul for whichever God they worship do they really get systematically bashed?

I don't think so...but perhaps I'm wrong. Can someone can find examples where a newbie exhibiting none of those traits has been trashed?
