Is it acceptable to wear anything kendo-related outside of the dojo? Particularly on Hallowe'en. Hell, if it is, it'll be the most realistic and coolest costume.

If your intent is to go as a kendoka then yes, I agree it would be the most realistic costume you could wear. If you wish to go as a ghoul or a spook, then not so much.

I think wearing kendo gear for Hallowe'en is kind of a cop out. Most likely the folks who know you might know your interest in kendo and just go 'oh yeah, your wearing your kendo gear, forget it already we've heard enough about kendo and boy doesn't it stink!'
