1. If I were you I would first of all begin with learning seriously a "highly accepted martial art" in lack of an other word. Because it could teach you swords basics and it might convince you that there is no need inventing a new sport. But if you are still convinced of your idea after say four years in for example kendo, iaido or olympic fencing, go for your freaky idea.

2. DON`T USE KENDO-MEN! At least if those fancy sabres you are talking about are are the ones that I'm thinking of: smaller than the grill in the kendo mask. Its extemely dangerous. You could even kill someone, I imagine, if you hit the eye.

3. Why do you need a "super fashionable star wars kind of swords fight"??? Why do you have to fight in the dark? How can you instruct in the dark? Are you that skilled to teach somebody? Do you belive that there would be someone to teach?

4. If there was any rule that would have to be changed, I would say you should be allowed to do kendo "both-sided" so you can train your body equally on both side. But seriously I wouldn't change anything. (just my noobish opinion)

5. If you are still absolutely into your ehm fencing-style, please send us some youtube links with your training
