Hi yes I have seen the price of the head gear in kendo, but the kendo mask gives better protection than a fencing mask in a fight. stronger bar not wire like a fencing mask. we fight with kendo masks train with fencing masks so it's slower and I have a lot of fencing gear I can outfit 50 kids with fencing gear and only need to buy 8 set of kendo gear and hockey chest protectors. just for fighting bouts. money is not mine concern safe kids are. we are starting 4 or 5 clubs around the same time as i Get more kids we will fence each club vs the other. I know of no sport that is taking off as fast as this one but I still have a few months to get it set up i have my highest students helping me.
My high school sabre team has taken the midwest high school championship for 5 years in a row.
so if you have any ideas from your bouts and think they might help us thank you.
I am not very good with videos but I am sure my high school kids are when they have some I will ask them to post them on you tube and let you know. also how do you feel about your judges in your bouts and matches are they fair what do they judge just the hit or style or both, is a rep that a high rank fencer has help him win because the judge thinks he should get the point because your sloppy or not as good even if you hit first.
have you been robbed of a point from the judge do you have to fence the judge and the fencer. what could you change
to make it better. I will alway respect kendo so please do not take this game as something to replace kendo. this is for fun and mostly kids. not for honor, rank, peace of mind or zen or any of that, just fun.
who would not fight in the dark with glowing swords, only people with no fun in them.
