I am starting a lightsabre fighting club.
We use kendo masks and gloves and hockey chestprotectors pads.
The blade is made from ploycarbon plastic unbreakable.
we will use us sabre rules and change some of them just for this sport.
so they do glow and have many colors red, blue, green, yellow, orange and many others.
we can fight in the dark. it's a blast. the swords are lighter than your bamboo swords.
so if you could change any rule in your sport what would it be?
what rule do you think we would need.
thankyou for any help you can give.
You will need permission in advance from the Dark Lord of the Sith, his assistant Galen Marek or one of the other Sith Lords.

Accreditation, this is tricky, but you will need it for professional liability insurance cover. Some travel may be involved for instruction and testing of your Podracer and light sabre skills, Force Sensitivity and Sense training, all possibly confirmed by assessors using scanning devices.

Kendo gloves are not suitable, you will need gloves made from micronised iron. other wise you or your students may get injured.

I also recommend that you do not use kendo masks, because the shaft of pure energy emitted by the light sabre (or for US readers - saber) will actually get between the horizontal rungs on the mask. Of course, this may not be an issue for you if the light sabre's energy has been switched to vertical polarization. That has to be done at an authorised workship or at a Volkswagen dealer who has access to VAG-COM.

Another recommendation is to make sure that your Jedi Padawan (beginners) get a light sabre of the correct size for their body shape and skill. Many Padawan want to spend up and get a Jidai style light sabre, but they'd be better off with a Nyumon and upgrade later

You will also need a supply of Lightsaber Crystals to recharge the light sabers when they go flat. And of course, don't allow the newbies to use a light sabre of the wrong colour for their role, as that may confuse others and even offend more senior jedi.

As for fighting in the dark, that's OK for beginners and people watching, but the jedi can only see the Force, so if your students aren't practicing effectively, it won't look as good as you hope.

The rules and Jedi Code are best explained to you by Cin Dralling, Master Yoda or a jedi sensei, such as Darth Bane. Best contact them at the Galactic Republic HQ, but of course, you already know that.

To become a Jedi requires the deepest commitment and most serious mind. It is not a venture to be undertaken lightly. As such, Jedi instruction is rigidly structured and codified to enforce discipline and hinder transgression.

Good luck with your new venture into this activity, the origins of which, unlike kendo, are lost in time.
