Coach Gandy, no-one doubts your ability to teach fencing and the certification that backs you up. A short Google of you confirmed you ain't just some daft kid with aspirations of jedi-ness.

However, in my humble opinion, this is a daft idea. If you disagree, then that's fine. However, budoka ain't the best people to talk to as they take their activities very serious and have little time for play-sword games. Hell, even Chanbara is chuckled at, and that is semi-recognised as legit, albeit once again, a bit daft.

Now do you have any skill in fighting with a sword.
No, people here have skill in kendo/iaido/other JSA. That isn't the same as fighting with a sword. It is nigh on impossible to practice our arts in the proper manner and gain said experience without killing or putting yourself in harms' way where you could be killed.

do you teach kendo? have your taught kids? how long have you been teaching. what ages have you in your class. ok! i guess you have not a thing to share, all you got is nothing you do not know your sport very well to be able to give advice. so I guess I can just read a book and get more than any of you can share.
too bad. I am disapointed in your sport. I guess I just treat your guys when they walk in to my gym as you have treated me. funny how you get treated like you treat others.
This is not the behaviour of a grown man who teaches others. It is the behaviour of a 13 year old samurai that we get here all the time who can't take the criticism that gets dished out when he puts his head above the parapet. Perhaps if you were less defensive and not so quick to get the hump over some barbed humour, then perhaps you need to grow thicker skin. And stop playing with toys.
