Congratulations and welcome to the "Married" Men's Club (with all due respects to kanyil).

As a Married Man of 5 years' standing, I think, the better interpretation is that one is only "in" after the successful completion of the ceremony. Therefore anything which may (or may not, whether remembered or otherwise) have happened the night before won't count (and stays in Vegas!!)!
