Hmmmm, helping out on an iai coaching course today and a discussion came up about the types of people who studied various budo and had an 'arty' flair.

The percentage of people in the room who did something creative for a living or in their spare time was extremely high - so I thought I'd ask here!

Q1 - what is your (main) martial art study?
Q2 - are you artistic?
Q3 - if 'yes', in what capacity?

interesting...but just looking around in my dojo I tend to agree with your assumption...

Q1 - naginata, iai
Q2 - well, sort of
Q3 - work at art uni but in the admin - but also dabble as musician (classic such as song and cello), bookbinder, calligraphy etc...I used to work as a graphic designer (at music publishing house).
