Tarhib Ramadhan (Welcoming Ramadhan) is an increasingly popular event that takes place a few days before the blessed month of Ramadhan in cities across Indonesia. It is marked with gatherings in Mosques and processions on foot and motorcycles.

Pictures from some of Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia's 'Welcoming Ramadhan' events in cities including Bogor, Yogyakarta, Bekasi, Cirebon, Majalengka, Magelang, Surabaya, Malang and many others. 16th August 2009 [25 Shaban 1430H].

This year's slogan was
Raih takwa, songsong kemenangan Islam
(Reach for piety, welcome the victory of Islam)
