Was that an RPG, or was it a camera? I saw nothing even remotely like an RPG. What time in the video did you see it?

Re: the AK's...i, too, thought that i saw AK's:

But, are you sure it is an AK, and not a camera stand? He does stick the end of it in the ground and leans on it....not the way you would expect someone to treat a weapon.

8 people dead, 2 of them journalists....damn well BETTER make sure you know what you are shooting at.

This is less criticism of the military for me, and more criticism of how stupid we can be when trying to avoid PR catastrophe's.

The "body" that was being picked up, it looked like they were gathering up the injured reporter. Of course, it would explain why kids were in the van, if that is so: they weren't terrorists, and were going about their normal daily routine when they had to respond to an emergency that happened unexpectedly.

Another reporter details how, several minutes later, he and some journalists were congregating in an area nearby, and they opened fire on them as well. How do we know that the "insurgents" dying in the videos are actually identified appropriately?

The lack of a critical eye has allowed our nation to be sold down the river.
I was looking at it in full screen (pausing and playing) and it sure looked like two rifles at 3:30. I just tried to view it again, but it's blocked. If I get on another computer tonight, I'll look again.

Re leaning on a possible camera stand: I didn't see where either stripped shirt or solid shirt leaned on anything and I can't see either of them doing it in the snip you provided. If I get to watch the entire video again in full screen, I'll see if I can spot what you're talking about. In addition, I've seen hunters plug their barrels with mud more than once, so it sure wouldn't surprise me to see a terrorist mistreat their weapon.

As far as whether it was an RPG or a camera, why would a cameraman be peeking around the corner of a building trying to take a picture of a helicopter? If it was a camera and he had nothing to hide, then why was he hiding instead of standing out in the open trying to get a clear picture?

I don't see how you can deduce the people in the van weren't terrorists trying to "clean up" just b/c they had kids in the van.

No, the "other" journalists weren't congregating in and fired upon in a nearby area. They were nearby when the assault took place, went to the assault area within a few minutes after it happened and were then supposedly fired on in the same way the van was. But since there's no video showing those journalists being fired upon, it still remains unproven that it happened.
