Well you jumped ahead.

I was going to suggest this. Uninstall it. Then manually install it from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

If Windows Update offers to install do a custom install, UNCHECK it and select never offer again. There are several reports of people having the same problem from what I'm finding on Google. And no solution other then this work around.
