According to OpenSecrets.org, for the 2012 election cycle, GE has donated 62% to Republicans and 38% to Democrats. Since 1990, it's been pretty even, 51% to Republicans, 48% to Democrats. In Congress, they prefer incumbents. The top three recipients are Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton and George Bush.

Looks like they are an equal opportunity influence buyer.

Gee, I don't know about Jeff Immelt. I see a lot of donations, Brad, but to John McCain, Rudy Giulliani, Mitt Romney, George Bush, John Boehner, Hilary Clinton... I don't see one donation to Barack Obama, not one. Check for yourself.
