As to the topic, I've GOTTEN a job in the middle of this recession. The firm I work for hit the $10 million dollar profit mark last year (and we all got bonuses because of it). The firm I work for is doing JUUUUST fine in this economy (and most lawyers are Democrats, from my experience) -- because they have good business sense. People have just gotten smart (sometimes), they're tightening their belts and making less forays to the City of Sin and blowing money they don't have and trying to save it.

It sounds to me like Mr. Wynn is spouting sour grapes.

I still wonder, after all this time, why this particular poster seems so pro-gambling, when he says he's LDS and we're urged by the Prophet not to blow our money on gambling -- of course, it's all about having agency, and he can do what he wishes...but maybe it'd be smart if most people decided that gambling is a sure way to dig yourself in deeper financial trouble.
