I doubt that Brad is pro-anything. He'll wear whatever uniform is most confrontational to the parts of the country that he considers his enemy. His opinions have a lot more to do with whatever Rush Limbaugh said in the past 72 hours than anything said in any church. He's anti-Obama to a cultish extreme level. So anything from the Obama White House, be it a statement that more vegetables in a child's diet may be healthier than McDonald's every day or a statement that the sun will rise at a particular time in the morning, will be attacked.

It's a fear-and-anger response to the fact that Democrats champion a population of people that people like Brad aren't fond of, and with Obama in the White House, that constituency (young voters, college students, immigrants, gays, women, the poor, the middle class, black and Latino voters, unions, people who live in large cities) may end up with a more powerful voice in Washington and in state governments for generations to come.
You are most likely right. I hate the fact that for many people who read his rantings, HE is what they associate with the LDS religion, and he is so far from what I witness in my ward and my stake every day that it's not even funny. If you're to claim a religion publicly, you shouldn't continually show yourself the way he does. The Latter Day Saints are up against enough negative connotations to our faith without someone claiming to be one of us contributing to the negative connotations.
