Like I said, I took it as a tongue in cheek comment. I didn't take it seriously, because shoot, any of our politicians could never work another day in their lives and live far more comfortably than I live when I'm working. I also didn't get upset with uber-rich Christian Bale saying his long hair was "unemployment" when he was over a year between movies...because if you're not working, you ARE techinically unemployed, even if you have lots of money. I envy those who can choose not to work, or be out of a job, and not be struggling. I don't begrudge them that. I envy it, but I don't begrudge them.

NONE of the politicians "know my pain". None of them are single mothers, struggling to keep a roof over their rebellious son's head, supporting a drug addicted sister, with a mother battling cancer and a father who feels worthless because at 72 and after a stroke, he can't do everything he did 10 years ago. I let go of that bitterness eons ago, because it doesn't get me anywhere. I can only worry about ME, and what I do with my life. Mitt Romney is Mormon. That most likely means he is service oriented, so there is a very good chance he regularly does service-related projects. More than likely, he donates heavily to more than just his 10% tithing to the Church (Fast Sunday offerings to help those who are struggling with food and bills, etc.).

Also, unless you've walked in his shoes, you don't know what sorts of struggles HE may have in his life. Having money doesn't make life all sunshine and roses. I know this for a fact. If his business has been to shut down American businesses and send the work overseas, that is something he'll have to deal with both within himself and with his Heavenly Father for making his brothers and sisters suffer. And, it will show in the voting booths.
