What's your point? Is this supposed to be an attack against Reid?

If so, can you explain how? And if so, can you explain how American politics work? Because if that IS your point, you obviously have no idea how this country runs. Heck, somebody taking courses to become a citizen would have a better idea than you. I think that statement goes for people taking classes for naturalization in general vs. the Tea Partiers.

First off, North Las Vegas isn't Las Vegas, just to make that clear.

Second, the mayor of N. Las Vegas was from 1997-2009, as the article states, Mike Montandon.He's a Republican. It looks like at least three of the five council people during the 00's were Republican.

The council and the mayor, not the U.S. Senators representing Nevada, are the ones who make decisions on a city-wide basis. Therefore, if you're trying to point fingers, point 'em at the GOP.

If there is a national flavor to this, it has little to do with Reid. Take a look at the last administration, the one the GOP seems to forget put us in our current national "crisis." Maybe if they had regulated loans and loaners the way they should have and if the Bushies hadn't continuously lied about how strong the economy and the housing market was (we said it many times on LD: why were both new home numbers and foreclosures up, and why was the federal government saying how good things were instead of investigating an obvious discrepency?), the Republicans running North Las Vegas would have been more careful about what they allowed and how they spent.
