Jon Stewart Rips "Petty" Newsweek Over Michele Bachmann Cover

Jon Stewart is not going to be voting for Presidential candidate and U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann anytime soon. That's a fairly safe assumption.

Still, he said last night that this week's Michele Bachmann Newsweek cover and its obvious implications should make the magazine ashamed.

Why? Said Stewart:

"You gotta go pretty far out of your way to find a crappy photo of Michele Bachmann - and you did," Stewart said. "Be honest, Newsweek. You used that photo in a petty attempt to make Michele Bachmann look crazy. And that's what her WORDS are for."

Pretty much.

Of course, Stewart did get in a dig at the Tea Party favorite, adding, "You want a photo that makes her seem a bit off? Make it out of her words."

There are certainly many Michele Bachmann quotes from which to choose.

Your thoughts? Are people up in arms for good reason because of a subtle smear? Or is it just a photo that people read into because it's ... Bachmann?
