Oddly, liberals have been trying convince conservatives that U.S. involvement in the Middle East won't be all democracy, sunshine, lollipops and unicorns for ten years now. And hostility to Isreal is not the same as hostility to the U.S. We're an interested party, but that interest has its limits.
