Maybe it's time to recognize that there are other issues at stake here that involve the lives of thousands of people in Libya, and that much is happening behind the scenes that is far more important than the good sound bite.
One of the storylines I think that's not being reported on enough during these protests is how many military factions are refusing to fire on peaceful protestors. Ghadafi can say what he likes about killing his people, but the ones who would be responsible for such actions are ignoring the calls, and in come cases apparently leaving the country.

My hope is that the military in Iran is watching... Maybe they will take notes, and the next time there are peaceful protests in thier country, they realize they don't have to listen to their leaders when they call for arms against civilians.
