Former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel says he'll challenge an Illinois appellate court ruling ordering him off the ballot for mayor of Chicago.

Earlier today, an appellate court ruled 2-1 that Emanuel does not meet the one-year residency requirement for candidates.

"This will go to the next level," Emanuel said, indicating he will appeal to the Illinois Supreme Court.
