Its unfortunate that the face of Mormonism presented to the political forum up to now by Regis/Sidewinder has been that of an angry bigot operating as almost a parody of a fever-swap conspiracy quoting, tax-hating, war-loving, right-wing extremist.

Your version is much more interesting.
We're taught to be patriotic, and to love our neighbors in the true Christlike sense, those that agree with us and those that don't. We're taught to help everyone regardless of their class distinction, their nationality, their skin color or their religious beliefs. We're taught that the best missionary action is by showing our love and compassion for others. Sidewinder/Regis does none of these things, and he makes self degrading remarks about the religion he claims consistently.

If it was only Sidewinder/Regis as my experience with the church, I wouldn't have been baptized on December 13, 2009. Thankfully, having lived in Salt Lake City for 13 months and having a best friend who is a member and being around her family for that year taught me what those that follow the religion really feel and believe in. Working with Mormons and them showing me their love and compassion through the hardest time in my life showed me what a wonderful religion this truly is, and I've never been happier. Which is why it makes me so sad the image that Sidewinder/Regis puts here on this board regularly of our faith.
