Democrats 60% approval of Obama
Blacks 90% approval of Obama
Blacks 20% of poll sample
Democrats make up 43%
Whites including White Dems approval of Obama 23%
Figure at most only 20% of Blacks are Republicans or Independents (more likely 10%, but we'll go with 20%) means that among non-black Democrats Obama's approval rating is about 44% (42% if we go with the 10% figure).

Good grief.

Why the huge racial discrepency between white and black Democrats? Black Dems are twice as likely to approve of Obama's performance than White Dems. Is one of the Groups basing their approval on race?
