The President is suppose to be the leader and I haven't seen a lot of that coming from the President. He's more interested in entertaining the elite and passing his agenda then helping our nation. I mean come on, what was last night's speech...a way to get the energy bill passed. That was not the time to mention the bill. He needed to raise the morale of the people in the south by stating what he is going to do and how soon. Again, this is not the change I voted for.
He did state what he was going to do, and today he did exactly what he promised. After meeting with BP, the oil company has agreed to put $20 billion dollars in a fund with no cap and provide compensation to the oil rig workers who are out of work because of the moratorium on drilling. Pres. Obama also appointed a Ken Feinberg to mediate a third party claims process, taking that out of the hands of BP.
