Anyone could vote in the run off, and as far as I know, no you didn't have to vote 3 weeks ago to vote this past Tuesday. When I went to vote this past Monday ( I did early voting), they didn't ask which party you were affliated with. So I'm sure if a Republican wanted to vote for a Dem they could go and vote this past Monday.
Do you think a significant amount of Republicans did just that then -- either voting for the more conservative Dem or voting for the Dem the GOP would have a better chance against?
