I think I must be getting more and more like Scrooge! There is no way I am paying up to 75/80 euros for not much more than I would get for 15/20 euros at any other time of the year.
Even a local Torrevieja Chinese is cashing in. Normal menu del dia 6,99 but on Christmas day 42,99. The difference seems to be a "free" glass of cava and a slightly better quality of wine. Which also means that when you ask for "another bottle please. miss" you will be served the 12 euro bottles and not the 3,99 bottles. Can see that being a dear lunch!
Just my personal opinion and others will happily pay for somebody else doing all the work. Wherever you go - enjoy!
