Yes you can "tile on tile" but make sure the existing tiles are sound and solid. You will need to rough up the surface of glazed tiles to provide a key for the adhesive and to ensure strength you should span the existing joints and not follow the same pattern as the existing.
As I don't know how much you're tiling [just splash backs or the whole lot] give some thought to the setting out, where the cuts will be and what is fixed to the existing tiles [toilet, basin, shaver sockets, screens, switches etc] as you may need to modify those aswell to take into account the addittional thickness.
Your best bet for the adhesive / PVA is Leroy Merlin in Vista Hermosa or Aki in Elche which are both about 25mins from GA. You'll be able to get a new tile saw there too.
Other tips - make sure the tiles you buy all have the same batch number and when the tiling is completed run a bead of mastic down the corners of the room - especially in the shower area.
Personally, I'd rather take forever hacking off the old, re-skimming and re-tiling but can understand why you'd want to over tile.
Good Luck
Richard.
