I returned from GA on Sunday and was there while the 'mini clean' by the bars took place. I thought great this is long over due. They did it on the Monday and that was the last we saw of them. So fed up with the state of things down there that on Friday I took a brush and shovel and had a go down there myself. I must admit I did get some strange looks. It annoys me that the Spanish bar/restaurant at the bottom only seem to concentrate on brushing up a very small area directly outside their entrance. (I saw them)Don't they seem to realise that it's a right mess around the side of their bar and it's very off putting. I for one would not eat or drink there with rubbish and cans blowing around. No wonder people are favouring the GA centre. I think in the interim the shop owners should do more, after all it is them who are most affected by this situation.
Another point to mention is the increasing graffiti appearing. What is being done about this? My neighbour says that he paints the electricity box on a year basis as his place overlooks it. It has been shown with the bar area doesn't take much to bring an area up or down.
