No it's still disrespectful to them and their memory. Yes they can't object because they are dead but that doesn't make it right.

Yeah people thought there were steps in place at Arlington and come to find out there weren't.
You mean its still disrespectful to the memory of them by those that are still alive. When someone is dead they have no memories, no brain function. If there isn't anyone there to feel disrespected then it can not happen. The people that feel disrespected are still alive. Graveyards, funerals etc are not for the dead but for the living, the survivors. I still believe it is disrespectful but then again I am still alive and can feel that way. Its your memory of the dead that is disrespected by it. I am not saying this is a bad thing and that gives someone the right to ruin that, what happened is still wrong.
