Might be a few that feel that way, I'm of the impression that Bush-Era Neo-Conservativism isn't entirely isolated to the one side, but I'll grant you only one side has substantial representation pushing that agenda actively. I'd have to imagine those with the (D) behind it probably are not anxious to alienate themselves towards their cohorts nor their constituents.
And they have their own flavor of lunacy (which amazingly always seems to escape the notice of those who track the (R)s and (D)s).
