Hmm - you've been to North Carolina so that means all of the south or all of the Midwest is like that? I stand by my comment of your hypocrisy.
I've gotten around a bit.

What does Europe have to do with the US? I have not the slightest idea, you're the one who brought it up.

Please share with me the "stats" that you speak of. Election data?

You sound very bitter towards people who believe in a religion. I was practically brainwashed from birth with religion. This is why I hate religion, Christianity in particular. Call it a personal prejudice.

Not all Christians are "Jesus freaks." That's like saying all Muslims are terrorists. Isn't that the DEFINITION of a Christian? If you don't love Jesus, what kind of Christian would that person be?

I'm not a religious person but I respect people's beliefs. Are there Bible-spouting people in these areas who push their agendas? Of course. Just like when I talk to people and tell them where I'm from and they seem shocked that towns with only hundreds of people exist and even more shocked that there are places without stoplights, etc. When I was in Kansas City (Missouri side), I was amazed how pretty much every single gas station or 7/11 in the area had those thick windows in front of the cashier - frankly, the entire area was a crime infested slum. With that said, I loved that town. Either I'm just weird, or it had its own strange attractive qualities to it I couldn't quite put my finger on.

Any religious extremist or zealot is dangerous but they exist throughout the country - not just in one area. How many states in the Midwest or south have you been in? North Carolina, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Virginia. Now granted, that's not the entire south and midwest, or anywhere close to it, but its still a pretty large sampling.

I think it's more dangerous of people to stereotype or generalize honestly. I think its more dangerous to allow a radical religion just as twisted and violent as the Taliban (Christianity) to influence American politics.
