I can see both sides of the coin in this situation.

Heads: Should the surgeons waste time performing this procedure on someone who may later reject this kidney anyway thus causing the patient to be back at square one?

Tails: First come first servered regardless of the chances of "kidney utilization". There are people who have been on the waiting list forever.

It is such a double edged sword. I say keep it the way it is.. First come, first served.. The gov't shouldn't dabble in this one.
