I find it hard to believe that the Air Force, knowing that 1/4 of the total force would fail the new test, would still implament the new standards. The fact that they have hired civilians to administer the tests is a huge slap in the face for all Airman and NCOs. The Air Force talks about integrity, and yet they hire civilians to do the tests, and half of them are out of shape as it is. As for the waist measurement, measuring your waist is no way to tell if your in shape. Quite honestly, I'd rather have a big guy that I know that can carry me with all my gear, as well as his, rather than some skinny guy who can barely fit in is gear trying to carry me if I'm hurt and bullets are flying. Maybe the Air Force should rethink what the definition of "fit" is!
